Preserving Open Space in Chester County

Vine Days at the Preserves
Many of our Preserves are under attack by invasive vines and shrubs that weaken trees and stunt growth.  We will be fighting back by cutting vine stems close to the ground and at shoulder height.

This is a job where our enthusiastic volunteers with simple tools (saws, loppers, and pruners) can make a big difference in a short period of time.

The last Vine Day of the season is on Saturday morning, April 3, 2010 at George Lorimer Preserve from 9am to 12 noon. Wear gloves and protective clothing. We'll provide loppers if you don't have one.

The Conservancy will provide hot refreshments.

Directions - From Swedesford Road, head north on North Valley Road across Valley Creek, to entrance and parking lot on right.
