Vine Days at the Preserves

Preserving Open Space in Chester County

Many of our Preserves are under attack by invasive vines and shrubs that weaken trees and stunt growth. We will be fighting back by cutting vine stems close to the ground and at shoulder height.

This is a job where our enthusiastic volunteers with simple tools (saws, loppers, and pruners) can make a big difference in a short period of time.

The next Vine Day of the season is on Saturday morning, March 6, 2010 at Cool Valley Preserve from 9am to 12 noon. Wear gloves and protective clothing. We'll provide loppers if you don't have one.

The Conservancy will provide hot refreshments.

Directions - Off Swedesford Road turn in to Shadow Oak Drive. Follow to the end (circle). Turn left at circle one block to Cool Valley Road and turn right to Preserve entrance.
